ELITE SQUAD
The elite and performance squads consist of athletes who compete on the world stage at the World Cup and World Championships level. Many of our athletes have competed in the World Junior Championships, World Under 23 Championships, World University Games and the Winter Olympic Games. This group will be challenging for Team GB places at the next Winter Olympics in Milan 2026.
Andrew is the one of the top XC athletes in the world. He just missed out on a historic medal for GB at the 2015 World Championships, coming in 4th in the 50km skate. He was 7th at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang and is working towards his 4th Olympic Games.
Joe took 13th place at the 2023 World U23 Championships

In 2015 he achieved Britain’s first ever World Cup podium in a sprint event, finishing 3rd in the freestyle sprint in Toblach. A consistent sprinter, in 2019 Andrew also achieved his first ever top 10 in a distance event.
James grew up in the mountains around Grenoble (France), raised by a French ski lover and an English mother. James is fast becoming a real threat on the sprint circuit, achieving his first ever top 10 in February 2020 in Are, Sweden. He joined the British Nordic team at the age of 15 and has represented Team GB at the 2013 EYO and at World Junior Championships in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
